Break out your Mardi Gras glitter! Join Seattle's red-hot samba band, VamoLá, for its second annual Brazilian Mardi Gras Party on Fat Tuesday at Neumos. Emceed by the Diva of Burlesque, Miss Indigo Blue, the evening will include performances of high-flying capoeira by Roda de Fogo, sizzling samba by the Brazilian band Batuque, sensual salsa by the Johnny Bravo Dancers, and of course VamoLá, with its high-energy drummers and dancers in fantasia costumes and sky-high Rio headdresses. True to form, VamoLá will envelop you in driving rhythms, blurring the line between spectator and performer. And DJ Darek Mazzone of KEXP will be spinning hip hop and Brazilian beats, to keep the night going and your body moving.
