CELEBRATION of BRAZILIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY
With the support of the Mayor’s Office of Protocol, the Brazilian Consulate and the Brazilian community, the Bay Area Brazilian Club will present a celebration of Brazilian Independence Day.There will be a full day of entertainment with several Brazilian bands, Brazilian dancers, drummers and other musical performers. Demonstration of children’s capoeira (Brazilian martial arts), typical foods, arts and crafts, a Brazilian fashion show, games, magicians and clowns for children. And capping it all off -- special performances by Forrofiando, an authentic group of forró music direct from the Northeast of Brazil. Also a Carnaval Parade with the lively, colorful Aquarela Dancers.In the spirit of Brazilian Independence Day, admission to the festivity will be free for children.
