The saxophone-wielding member of America's first family of jazz, Branford Marsalis has been a musical hero for a generation. Now, as a social hero, he's one of the most vocal advocates for the post-Katrina revitalization of his native New Orleans. Branford's quartet, with Joey Calderazzo on piano, Eric Revis on bass and drummer Jeff "Tain" Watts, swings as if they were on a mission.
