Boys Climbing Ropes, the Canadian anti-folk band, return to Live Bar for one more show before going on a (hopefully) short hiatus. They describe themselves as punk-folk-psych, but with influences ranging from Johnny Cash to the Flaming Lips by way of Tenacious D, they’re not easily categorized. On Friday night they’ll be joined by Xinjiang singer-songwriter Bora.
