Boxes, Planes, and Spinoffs: New American Sounds October 13, 2006

ADORNO features a concert of music that moves with the rhythms of American contemporary life. Featuring composers Dan Becker and Stephen Tramontozzi the program will visit the colored textures of minimalism to the highly charged sounds of conga drums and strings. Mr. Becker and Mr. Tramontozzi will give a pre-concert lecture on their works in conversation with Santa Clara University’s Associate Professor of Music Teresa McCollough beginning at 7:15pm. Rounding out the program will be works by Charles Wourinen and New York composer Derek Bermel. $10 Adults; $5 Students/Seniors
