On Saturday, Jan. 31 the Great Salt Lake Bowling Association will be “striking out” breast cancer at the annual Bowl for the Cure event held at Bonwood Bowl. Proceeds from the event benefit the Salt Lake Susan G. Komen Foundation affiliate.
Every year as a kick off to February, which is Bowl for the Cure month, the Great Salt Lake Bowling Association (GSLBA) holds the fundraiser at a local bowling alley. Each team, which can consist of up to six people, signs up for a designated bowling time and will participate in two games of 9-Pin No Tap. No Tap is a type of competition where nine pins on the first ball is scored as a strike.
Those interested in participating are encouraged to sign-up a team of six or fewer for designated bowling times on Jan. 31. Donations are also welcome for those who may not be interested in bowling, but would like to contribute to the annual fundraiser.
