Botanical printing is the art of using actual organic material and coating it with paint or ink and rubbing it on to a surface. We will print on handmade paper with leaves and flowers. The results are very unique! On the Western fiber paper the image will be more distinct and on the Japanese fiber paper it will be more impressionistic. Both are beautiful and allow you to take a little of nature’s beauty with you.

We will also touch on letterpress printing: pressure drives the ink into the paper giving a reversed embossed look.
