"Charting Your Course through Open Source" to Feature Red Hat's Matthew Szulik and JBOSS's Marc Fleury

The MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge hosts its Annual Winter Conference, to be held on February 11, 2006 at the Burlington Marriott, Burlington, Mass. Matthew Szulik, chairman and CEO of Red Hat, Inc., will kick off the day's proceedings and Marc Fleury, chairman and CEO of JBOSS, Inc., will close the session in mid-afternoon.

The conference, titled "Charting Your Course through Open Source," will also feature a series of panels made up of technology and business luminaries from the open source community.

"Red Hat and JBOSS are two of the most successful companies associated with open source technology," said Trish Fleming, Executive Director, MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge. "Mr. Szulik and Mr. Fleury are both passionate, much-sought-after speakers who will share their experiences in building these firms and their views on the future of open source technology."

Until just a few years ago, open source software was viewed as an emerging phenomenon. Today, open source code is widely used by even the most traditional organizations. Young entrepreneurs and software engineers look to open source projects as a wellspring of innovation, with the potential to significantly accelerate time to market.
