Free Summer Concert Series occurring every Wednesday at 7:00PM at the DCR Hatch Shell on the Esplanade along the Charles. High quality classical music performances of selections from Haydn, Handel, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky and many more.
This year's Festival at the Shell sees the premiere of a newly commissioned work by Thomas Oboe Lee honoring the life of Frederick Law Olmsted and the debut of the Landmarks Film Series throughout September. The Orchestra will also host concerts in Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, Quincy, and Roxbury and will welcome special guests from around the world including Gabriela Montero, The Youth Orchestra of the Americas and the Boston Lyric Opera.
