Boshu Nagase: Gyotaku Prints February 9, 2009

UMMA presents Gyotaku Prints by Boshu Nagase, a living master of this printmaking technique. The prints that were selected are made with the indirect method where thin, wet paper or fabric is placed on top of a fish & colored inks are applied in thin layers. This creates a more detailed, luminous, & delicate print.
