An uncouth, corrupt rich junk dealer, Harry Brock, brings his showgirl mistress Billie Dawn with him to Washington D.C. When Billie’s ignorance becomes a liability to Brock’s business dealings, he hires a journalist, Paul Verrall, to educate his girlfriend. Through her education Billie realizes Harry’s corruptness, how she has been used and that she is not as dumb as she once thought. This hilarious comedy was one of the most successful, longest running Broadway plays and was adapted into an Academy Award-winning film. “Broadway comedy at its best” … N.Y. Times. “A true gem that shines 50 years later” … Post. For tickets call 724-444-KEAN (5326) or visit www.keantheatre.com.
