Time Out Live, The Old Vic Tunnels and 33 proudly present BOOM BOOM CLUB.
Saturday 3 and 17 December 2011.
After two sell-out seasons in 2011, London’s foremost purveyors of deliciously twisted, underground cabaret return to transform the tunnels below Waterloo station into a late night winter wonderland!
These murky, glamorous vaults will be treated to a feast for the senses; where the worlds of contemporary vaudeville, art installation, vintage chic and musical bravura collide.
In a departure from the seated events earlier in the year, these two Saturday nights will mark the debut of BOOM BOOM’s expanded club night format at The Old Vic Tunnels – an immersive, promenade experience, bringing together elements of skills and variety performance, circus, live music and djs all under one roof. And expect a soirée of seasonal splendour!
With performances from mould-breaking acts such as Boy With Tape On His Face, The Broken Hearts, Jonny Woo, Kitty Bang Bang, Bret Pfister, Nick Hollywood AV, Piff The Magic Dragon, Vicky Butterfly, So and So Circus, Laura London, King Salami, Uberkaboom and many more.
All taking place within a bespoke festive installation created by Michael Smythe of NOMAD, the set designer responsible for previous Tunnels installations including Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros’ residency, 2011, The Minotaur, 2011 and Hell’s Half Acre, 2010.
Let the revels begin!
