The New York City Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will announce the winners of the best self-improvement books of the preceding year at its tenth annual ?Books for a Better Life? award benefit. Forty five finalists in nine categories were selected from more than 370 entries by a distinguished panel of experts in categories that include inspirational memoir, motivational, psychology, relationships, spiritual and wellness, first book, childhood/parenting, and ? new this year ? personal finance (you can view the list of finalists at www.msnyc.org).
The ?Books for a Better Life? awards honor the best self-improvement books of the preceding year and have become the industry standard for recognizing the authors and publishers of the best of the best in that category. This highly regarded awards program promotes the importance of one of the largest and fastest-growing segments in the book publishing business. The awards also raise awareness and funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Since its inception in 1996, more than 300 authors in the self?improvement field have been honored. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the event and the goal is to hit the $1 million raised mark for the decade.
