Formed in 1962, Tennessee's Booker T. Jones & the MG's helped create the indelible Memphis/Stax sound. The Drive-By Truckers specialize in Southern rock. Combine the two, and you get a variation of music styles from rock and soul to R&B with playful, cheerful, earthy and down-home sensual tones.
