Vijay Dan Detha is a writer from Rajasthan & co-founder of , Rupayan Samsthan, a folktale institute. He is a recipient of 2007 Padam Shri Award.

Christi A Merrill is a professor. She translates postcolonial writngs from Hindi, Rajasthani & French.

Kailash Kabir has translated Detha's works in Hindi.
