Professor Borinsky is a literary scholar, fiction writer, and poet. She has published extensively in Spanish and in English in the United States, Latin America, and Europe. She has received several awards, among them the Latino Literature Prize for Fiction in 1996 and the John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship.
