indie rock from Portland
Formed in 1981 AD, Book of Maps would amass not only body weight, but hair, permanent teeth and a vast understanding of the English language that far surpassed any other band after their time. After suffering a huge economic setback that none might recover from, Book of Maps irrevocably set the stage for vast prog dynamics as well as new recipes for rock. Wading through the Willamette in pursuit of waging guerilla warfare on the Multnomah music scene, a coup was staged in the form of undeniable sonic penetration that knew no limits. A band with such majesty formed from the single-celled goo that is North Portland. Doth we have been deceived by our ears, my friends, for Book of Maps has prophesized this all along. Attend and rejoice!
