BOO-etry October 31, 2010

The event, hosted by Pleasanton Poet Laureate Deborah Grossman, will feature spooky poems read by teens Arany Uthayakumar from Amador Valley High School, Kelly McDeavitt from Foothill High School, and Isabel Brooks, formerly of Pleasanton, who attends Felsted School in Essex, England. Their readings will be followed by a special reading by a guest poet.

An open mic will follow the readings during which participants may read an original poem of one page or less. Original, spooky poems are especially welcome. Halloween costumes are encouraged, but optional. Refreshments will be available during intermission.
