Bonobo Presents "Black Sands Remixed" Album Launch March 29, 2012

Bonobo’s original ‘Black Sands’ came out in 2010 to almost universal critical acclaim and worldwide commercial success. Released on Ninja Tune in February, ‘Black Sands Remixed’ is the latest project Bonobo. Featuring a host of re-imaginings of Bonobo’s work, the remixes come courtesy of various cutting-edge electronic producers that share Bonobo’s love of lush atmospherics, loops of sound and sheer sonic experimentation. Contributors include: ARP101, Banks, Blue Daisy, Cosmin TRG, Dels, Duke Dumont, FaltyDL, Funkineven, Lapalux, Machinedrum, Mark Pritchard and Mike Slott.

On March 29th, Bonobo’s international “Bonobo Presents” concept night will come to New York at Le Poisson Rouge. Bonobo will be joined by three artists whom feature on the remix album. Fellow New Yorker FaltyDL, a producer that recently joined the Ninja Tune stable with his glitchy boogie-filled ‘Atlantis’ EP, and Glasgow-via-NYC’s Mike Slott, best known for Lucky 9Teen (his debut LP released on LuckyMe), his much lauded collaborations with Martyn, and his bespoke alternative soundtrack to the 2003 film ‘The Return by Andrei Zvyagintsev.’ Bonobo will also welcome a highly anticipated return to NYC from Machinedrum, who has just finished touring the globe with his Sepalcure album, in addition to working with Azealia Banks. It will be Bonobo’s birthday at midnight.

This is a general admission, standing event. Happy hour from 10-11pm including $5 well and $3 beer.
