On August 18, from 4 to 8 pm, Congregation B'nai Shalom in Westborough, in conjunction with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute National Bone Marrow Donor Program, will hold a Bone Marrow Registry Drive. A member of Congregation B'nai Shalom is in urgent need of a matching donor for a life-saving transplant. Registration requires only a simple cheek swab. To join, you must be between the ages of 18 and 60, be willing to donate to any patient in need, and meet the health guidelines. Additional details are available at www.cbnaishalom.org/BeTheMatch.php. Dana-Farber has funds available to cover the cost of the test, but many insurance companies in Massachusetts are mandated to cover the cost of tissue typing for registration with the National Marrow Donor Program. For that reason, the program requests that you bring your insurance card with you. For more information, please contact Abby Mayou at 508-366-7191 or administrator@cbnaishalom.org. Congregation B'nai Shalom is located at 117 East Main St., Westborough, MA.
