Bonde Do Role play the freshest sunstroke pop around. Hailing from Curitiba, in Southern Brazil, Marina, Pedro and Gorky create rocking funk carioca. Their dance party electro punk is the sound of 2007, taking the Bailefunk rhythms of their homeland and mashing them up, rapping a barrage of Portugese slang even their native Brazillians can’t understand. March 2007 found Bonde touring North America with Diplo, who released their first single "Melo do Tabaco" on his Mad Decent label. This was after the band took the South by Southwest Festival in Austin by storm with their party-fuelled funk. “Bonde Do Role is like diggin through the garbage in Brazil and using the pieces and making a club mess turned up the volume plus 10.
