(San Francisco Examiner)
Husband-and-wife duo William Bolcom and Joan Morris have been performing together for over 30 years. Their repertoire spans American popular songs from the 1900s to the 1930s, songs from Leiber and Stoller and Mr. Bolcom's own cabaret songs written with poet-lyricist Arnold Weinstein. Called "the best thing to happen to American popular song since the invention of sheet music" (The Chicago Sun-Times), this Grammy-nominated team appear at festivals throughout the country, including Tanglewood, Spoleto USA and Ravinia. In addition, Bolcom is hailed as a highly respected composer, having received a Pulitzer Prize for his work.
