During Spring Break, the Museum will offer special Spring Break evening hours for 'Body Worlds & The Cycle of Life.' At this time, only the BODY WORLDS exhibit will be open; the Museum's other exhibits will not be accessible. This latest exhibition from physician and pioneering anatomist Dr. Gunther von Hagens offers an illuminating presentation on the human life cycle and aging. You'll go on a journey of self-discovery, examining the body living through time-at its most radiant, as it changes, grows, matures, peaks and finally wanes. See more than 200 real human specimens, including 20 full-body plastinates (and even an ostrich) preserved through plastination-the remarkable scientific process invented and perfected by Dr. von Hagens. In addition to the focus on human development, the extraordinary specimens demonstrate the complexity, resilience and vulnerability of the human body through anatomical studies of the body in distress, disease and optimal health.
