Body Rock Hip Hop Competition 2010 May 22, 2010

Body Rock (formerly known as Bustagroove), is an annual Hip Hop dance competition/showcase that began in 2000 and draws an audience of over 2,000 people each year. The purpose of Body Rock is "to promote and preserve the positive growth of Hip Hop dance as an art form." This event is one of the most recognized dance competitions in the West Coast and brings renowned dance teams from all over the world. Even before shows such as “America’s Best Dance Crew”, Body Rock has promoted dancers such as Jabbawockeez, Super Cr3w, Quest Crew and Kaba Modern. The show has earned a reputation of being a platform for dancers as well as being recognized for providing a nurturing and professional atmosphere. It continued on to become a success with shows being held at San Diego Civic Theater in Downtown and Performing Arts Center in Escondido.

This year, Body Rock will be held at the San Diego Civic Center on Saturday, May 22 at 7 p.m. and Pre-show beginning at 5 p.m. Our show has a cast of almost 500 performers including preshow acts, competing teams and exhibition crews. Gracing our stage will be some of the top choreographers and dancers in the industry. Including our judges, we have an all- star cast. Many of the dancers that are attending, competing and judging have been seen on MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew, So You Think You can Dance, Dancing with the Stars, and many dance movies including STEP UP 3D.
