Our relationship with our own body can be a source of tremendous pain, anxiety and insecurity. If we base our worth and value on our physical appearance, we are highly susceptible to insecurity, depression and discontent. An unhealthy relationship with the body can lead to various problems, including eating disorders, addictions, mental and emotional pain, and a lack of self-confidence. In this day course combining teachings and meditation, American Buddhist monk Gen Rigpa will share how Buddhist insights can help alleviate the mental sufferings associated with body image. Everyone is a welcome. A delicious vegetarian lunch is included in the class fee.
