The fifth annual “Bowling for Bread” event benefitting Boca Helping Hands is August 28, 2011 at Strikes Bowling on Military Trail in Boca Raton from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. Lanes are filling up, donations are coming in and everyone involved is working diligently to make it the best tournament ever. Bowling for Bread, a Boca Festival Days event, challenges local businesses and individuals to sponsor lanes and bowl against each other.
Lou Ann Such, chairwoman, said, “The idea is that local companies and families will build a little friendly competition and come back to compete year after year.” This year we are asking everyone who attends to bring as many nonperishable food items as they can. We especially need cereal, boxes of macaroni and cheese, canned meats and tomato products. These items are needed throughout the year. Our BHH truck will be there to carry back, hopefully, tons of food.
This event is very special as it involves the children in our community that directly benefit from Boca Helping Hands services. We hope to see you at Boca Helping Hands 5th Annual Bowling for Bread. Please consider sponsoring a lane or an individual child for an afternoon of fun and games!
