A true comic's comic, Bobby Slayton is best known for his title as the Pit Bull of Comedy. He has been performing his own intense style of stand-up comedy for 25 years, becoming one of the best known, and most energetic comedians on the road.
Slayton was recently seen on the HBO series "THE MIND OF THE MARRIED MAN" . The show followed a trio of reporters on a Chicago newspaper who try to remain faithful to their wives. Slayton played a married friend of one of the reporters who is also struggling to remain faithful to his wife.
Among his film rolls, Slayton was just seen in the Paramount comedy "Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star", starring David Spade. You maight have also caught him in the MGM feature film Bandits , opposite Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thorton. In the film, Slayton portrays the host of a tabloid TV show who follows the exploits of the two bank robbers played by Willis and Thorton.
In addition to his TV and film work, Slayton's second comedy CD "I've Come For Your Children" is currently in release. Bobby's critically acclaimed 1st comedy CD "Raging Bully", debuted to excellent reviews and quickly became a cult favorite. The one-hour live recording addresses topics such as the death penalty, romance, porn and sexism - all topics that Slayton is quick to take on, onstage and off. He also taped his own half-hour comedy special for Channel 5 in the United Kingdonm, at London's Comedy Store. Audiences, critics and entertainment industry have all voiced their approval of the brazen, in your face comic. The New York Daily News described Slayton as "Armed and dangerous!" and the American Comedy Awards voted him the "Funniest Male Stand-up Comic of the Year". In the film arena, Slayton garnered great reviews for his portrayal of Joey Bishop, opposite Ray Liotta and Joe Mantegna, in the critically acclaimed HBO original movie "The Rat Pack" . He appeared in Miramax's Third Wheel, starring Ben Affleck and Luke Wilson, as well as the Sony Pictures release Loser, opposite Mira Suvari. Slayton has also had scene-stealing roles in such films as Get Shorty, Ed Wood, and Wayne's World 2.
