Bob Watson is a veteran of World War II and was with the 6th Naval Beach Battalion called the Beach Masters on OMAHA Beach, Normandy, France. Bob landed at 7:27 a.m. on June 6, 1944 in the first wave. He stayed on the beach for 28 days and all that took place was before his eyes. Bob has been the speaker at over 600 military groups, service clubs and high school classes in the past 11 years. His experiences will take you there on that dreadful day when so many of our young American boys lost their lives. He will tell you why and how it happened.
"Even now it brings pain to recall what happened there on June 6th, 1944. I have returned many times to honor the valiant men who died on that beach. They should never be forgotten, nor should those who lived to carry the day by the slimmest of margins. Every man who set foot on Omaha Beach that day was a hero."
