Manfred Honeck, conductor; Hélène Grimaud, piano. Tower: World-Premiere PSO Commission; Mozart: Piano Concerto No. 23, K. 488; Wagner: Prelude to Lohengrin; Mahler: Adiago from Symphony No. 10. Hélène Grimaud joins the PSO in a popular Concerto by Mozart. When Mahler conducted Lohengrin in Vienna, he instantly became known as the premier conductor of his time. Mahler never completed his Symphony No. 10, but the PSO will perform the completed and heart-wrenching Adagio movement.
