The Del Souls and The Crown Vics will perform at the “Blue Moon Hop” 1950s dance party at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Willowbrook Ballroom’s Bunkeris Lounge, 8900 S. Archer Ave, Willow Springs. The “Blue Moon Hop” features rock ‘n’ roll music of the ‘50s and '60s.
The members of The Del Souls grew up in the ‘50s and ‘60s and their passion for that era of music is reflected in their music today. They have been performing together for 13 years and currently have a CD of original music for sale.
The Crown Vics perform early ‘50s big beat rock ‘n’ roll. The six piece band is comprised of two saxophones, standup bass, drums, guitar, and vocals.
Admission is $8 and includes a dance lesson.
Founded in 1921, the Willowbrook Ballroom proudly bears the distinction of being one of only five ballrooms of its magnitude remaining in the United States that is still committed to dancing.
