Chadwick Gates (Elvis) has just gotten out of the Army and is happy . Back in Hawaii with his surfboard, his beach buddies, and his girlfriend.
His mother wants him to go to work at the Great Southern Hawaiian Fruit Company, but Chad is reluctant and goes to work as a tour guide at his girlfriend's agency. Much of this 1961 Classic was shot on location at the Coco Palms Resort on the East shore of Kauai. This resort has been abandoned since Hurricane Iniki in 1992. Another location used was the Tantalus lookout overlooking Honolulu.The first and signature of the Elvis in Hawaii movies!
The evening begins one hour before sundown with musical entertainment by Dave Foraker Bring a blanket or a chair and relax in the beautiful gardens of the Black Mountain Inn...Aloha!
Classic concessions will be available, including hot dogs, popcorn, and Dynamite coffee. As always, marshmallow roasting is free!
