Blue Groove Jazz Combo April 5, 2010

The Blue Groove Jazz Combo was formed in the spring of 2009 when a few childhood pals decided to get together and play jazz. They play primarily bebop music with some funk, fusion and groove influences, from artists like Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Clifford Brown, Thad Jones, Benny Golson, Joe Zawinul and Jaco Pastorius. All of the band members also play in the West Linn High School Jazz Band. Band members include Alex Koehler on bass, John Rognlie on piano, Conner Bettermann on drums, Josh Grelewicz on tenor saxophone, and Carlos Splitstoser on Trumpet.
