Charles Randolph-Wright's 'Blue' is a hybrid of sitcom and realistic drama, both intimate and amazingly funny, full of plot twists and backed by a lush score of sultry blues and jazz. Set in Kent, South Carolina where the Clark family owns the only African-American funeral parlor. Peggy, matriarch of the family, exposes all to her obsession with musician Blue Williams. Along the way, a son learns the real meaning of true blood ties.
