Many families have returned to Southern Sudan hoping to re-establish their lives and rebuild the country, but life is difficult.
In 2007, Awer Bul and Gabriel Williams, students from VCU documented the living conditions of refugees such as severe and extreme poverty, hunger and disease. Blood Is The Same is the result.
