“Empirical data states that, commencing with Memorial Day and continuing thru Labor Day, the need for blood sharply increases, yet the amount of donations markedly decrease. The level of blood available for much of this period is so low that the priority of each need is decided by a board of qualified experts. Do what you can to maintain the level of available blood. If you are physically able to volunteer to give for those in need, do so on May 16. Join the core of the dedicated caring who donate every eight weeks at St. Matthew’s.”
