Block Party: Welcome to Summer August 10, 2010

Chicago's only kid-size block party is back--and it's sure to put you in a summer mood! Buy your tickets at the Ticket Booth, and let the fun begin. At The Ice Cream Cart, create all sorts of pretend tasty treats. Scoop ice cream into cones or cups and serve it up. Use your imagination at the Grill and Wok and The Hot Dog Cart to prepare a variety of meals for your hungry customers. Stop by the Pizza Stand to create deliciously-pretend pizzas. Put on an apron and prepare the toppings--pepperoni, sausage, veggie--it's your choice! Create the "tastiest" pizza you can in a realistic wood-burning oven. Get dressed up on The Stage. Pull out a guitar and become a rock star! Be the center of attention or, if you prefer, grab a seat on the "lawn" and watch from a picnic table or your own comfy picnic blanket. There's a lot to do, so be sure to join us for this celebration of summer in the city!
