Blim presents:
Blim Screenprint Sticker/Flocking Workshop
Mini screenprint art, graphics, drawings, or text in a Sticker, CD, or Jewel case or any plastic surface! Please bring items you will be printing on as well as your image on disc, paper, transparency or email a jpeg to us at blimblim@telusnet . The cost of workshop is 50.00 for whole evening which includes take home screen and up to 6, 8"x10" prints. We provide other materials such as inks, emulsions, and vinyl sticker backings. There will be a snack bar, good music, and fun to be had!
If we can date ourselves a little, back in the 60s and early 70s, shirts were also decorated with velvety feeling images made of small rayon particles called flocking. In those times, college and university shirts as well as bowling team shirts were all done with the flock process.
Flocking is once again made a come-back in a whole new fashion. In fact, not a week goes by that someone doesn't ask about the process. This afternoon workshop will be a primer on the process. Because it is not the most popular process there are only a handful of companies who deal with the process and the products. You can count on Blim to present a workshop on this stuff, because we specialize in the "specialized".
