Black Swan State Theatre Company is proud to present its first season at the new State Theatre Centre of WA. This is a great season full of muscular, dynamic plays that tackles the human condition in all its glory and its foibles. Our 20th anniversary year brings you a season that celebrates great actors, designers, and writers. It explores our culture, our families, our children, our parents and our lovers with joy and dynamism.

Our 2011 is a season tackles what it is to be Australian with song, with dance and with poetry. It’s rough, gutsy and it’s glorious. It’s also poignant, tender and surprising. We want Western Australia’s State Theatre Centre to be your gateway to different worlds. Our 2011 season includes three world premieres, two Western Australian premieres, a modern classic and a Shakespeare.
