Black Swan State Theatre Company presents 'Arcadia' March 17, 2012

In 1809, eccentric family members, house guests and staff reside in Sidley Park, surrounded by picturesquely Gothic gardens. 180 years later, garden historian Hannah and academic Bernard try to shed light on the garden’s secrets and uncover the scandal that is said to have happened. A stirring love story that crosses centuries, a witty play of ideas for anyone who loves science, maths or gardening, with wonderfully eccentric characters, mystery and scandal wrapped up in one visual feast. Jumping back and forth between the centuries, Arcadia explores the nature of truth, time and sexual attraction.
