Black Joe Lewis & the Honey Bears is a seven-piece outfit of devotees of hard blues-funk from Austin and Round Rock, Texas. Established by frontman Joe Lewis and guitarist Zach Ernst, the band channels their love of legendary blues artists like Junior Kimbrough, Howlin' Wolf, Lightnin' Hopkins and Elmore James, and filters it through the modern prism of their louder, harder-edged musical approach. They're touring to support their newest release, 'Scandalous,' which boasts an "all killer, no filler" take to their aggressive, punk-tinged rock.
