Born in Hong Kong, where he is already an established playwright, Simon has been living and writing in London for the past eight years. Many of his plays have been performed in London: Wolf in the House was showcased at the Soho Theatre; The Pilgrimage of the Heart had a three week run in 2008 at the Etcetera Theatre in Camden and Just the Two of Us, was featured at the Typhoon Festival 2009 at the Greenwich Theatre. His climate change play, OIKOS, was commissioned by The Red Room and will be performed from 26 August 2010 for three weeks at the Jellyfish Theatre in Southwark which was especially built for this project. Simon's radio plays have been broadcast on the BBC World Service, Looking for Stones (1999), Bare Branches (2008) and Demolition Man (2009).
His short film, Merry-Go-Round, was funded by Enfield Film Fund and was nominated for Best Local Film in the Wood Green Independent Short Film Festival in 2008 and screened at BFI in 2009.
