For 30 years the Williamsburg Regional Library has co-sponsored Black History Month programs with local community groups. These 1-hour long programs celebrate African-American Heritage in music, dance and the creative arts. Participants can meet the performers and enjoy refreshments following the presentation. The programs begin at 3 p.m. each Sunday in February at the Williamsburg Library Theatre. They are free and do not require reservations. Call (757) 259-4070 or check the library’s web page at www.wrl.org for more information.
List of performers and sponsoring organizations for this year's programs are:
February 25 - Mrs. Selma Stewart, Genealogist. Sponsors: Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and The Greater Williamsburg Women's Association.
