Commemorating the contributions of African-Americans to Southern Nevada's history and culture, the Springs Preserve presents its second annual Black History Month Festival.
This family-friendly event includes a children's film festival, historic black Las Vegas photography exhibit, dance performances by the West Las Vegas Arts Center Performance Ensemble, presentations by film documentarian Stan Armstrong on the history of West Las Vegas, Greek Step Shows, a theatrical performance by C7 Entertainment, and much more.
Live music will be provided by the Moments Notice jazz combo, Friends of Gospel choir, singer Tiffanne LeMay, and DJ Baby Chino, the world's youngest DJ.
Food vendors include Seven Seas restaurant, Soul D'Licious Catering, Mario's Westside Market, Funnel Cake Cafe, Castle of Cakes, and RJ's Italian Ice. Other exhibitors include the NAACP Las Vegas branch, CenturyLink, artist John Trimble, Las Vegas Urban League and an Avengers West photo booth.
