Black History Month at Underground Atlanta February 8, 2011

An annual celebration of achievements by black Americans, Black History Month is a time for recognizing the central role of African Americans in U.S. history. Throughout the month of February, join Underground Atlanta for an incredibly stimulating, inspirational and important program of events, exhibits, contests, workshops, screenings and performances and an exploration of culture.

Learn about influential African Americans in history and get a glimpse of Atlanta and Underground Atlanta’s past, present and future with a special version of Underground Atlanta’s guided history tour, “From Civil War to Civil Rights.” Experience the African-American Cinema Gallery (AACG), an inspirational touring multimedia exhibit to Black actors, actresses and authors whose creativity has inspired the nation throughout history.
