Performance of Birth, a play by Karen Brody
Birth is a play based on over one hundred interviews Karen Brody conducted with mothers across America who gave birth between 2000-2004. It tells the true stories of 8 women painting a portrait of how low-risk, educated women are giving birth in America today.
Coming to Phoenix this Labor Day, 2008
September 1st, 2008 at the Arizona Historical Society, Steele Auditorium.
First Show - 1:00 pm
BE BOLD Birth Fair 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Second Show - 7:00 pm
Each show is approximately 2 hours with an intermission between acts 1 and 2, with a talkback afterwards. Talkback will include speakers from our community in the birth profession.
Birth Fair
Our first ever Birth Fair, sponsored by Supported Birth of Arizona, The BOLD Phoenix Team, and the Arizona Birth Network! Come meet local birth enthusiasts and professionals, pick up a goody bag filled with samples and informational items, connect with other families and purchase a copy of our local birth stories book! The Birth Fair will take place from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. We will hold our raffle at 6:30 pm.

All proceeds from the events will be donated to the Arizona Birth Network and the Arizona Association of Midwives.
Also pick up a copy of our collection of local birth stories. Includes real stories from real families and their birth experiences here in Arizona.
Presale tickets will be available at a discount. Students and Senior discount also applies. Every attendee at the performances will receive a goody bag full of exciting samples and useful information.
