In 1885, a pharmacist in the heart of Texas began looking for that perfect combination of fruit and nut flavors. A little of this, a little of that. Test after test. He blended and mixed. Customers offered opinions. His employer offered assistance. Finally he had it! His employer saw potential, gave it the name Dr Pepper, and a new soft drink brand was born.
