Meeting of Birmingham Interaction Design Association - http://brumixda.wordpress.com/
We're meeting at Urban Coffee Co at 7 for the meeting, but will be having food at 6pm, probably at Old Contemptibles - http://maps.google.co.uk/places/gb/birmingham/edmund-st/172/-old-contemptibles?gl=uk
If you've been reading tweets and blog posts from SXSWi with envy; or wondered why so few (if any) large digital events happen in the Midlands; or moaned that the big UK web design and UX conferences always seem to bypass Birmingham, now's your chance to change all that. The Interaction Design Association is seeking proposals from European cities to host its annual Interaction conference in 2012 http://www.ixda.org/node/24632
Last meeting there was no specific call or application process so we had started collecting thoughts. As we now have an application process, linked above, we will be able to formalise some of these early ideas and look more closely at the application process - this will form the main basis of the meeting, of course still peppered with the usual banter.
