This year’s Armed Forces Day will again be an opportunity for the public to say thank you and recognise the outstanding contribution the Armed Forces community makes to this country. This event starts at 11am with a private ceremony at the Hall of Memory where names of the fallen will be added to the Books of Remembrance.
There will be a march from Centenary Way bridge to Centenary Square at 11.30am, and a Drum Head and Outdoor Service at 11.45pm.
From 1.45pm in Victoria Square there will be live performances on stage, including the Royal Marines Band and The Forces Sweethearts and a Question and Answer session with representatives from the Armed Forces. The afternoon will conclude with Beat the retreat at 4.30pm.
