Amy Lang, M.A., founder of Birds+Bees+Kids will be offering a joint seminar with Margit Crane, M.A., founder of The Gifted Teen Coach, to equip parents with the tools to start and maintain meaningful and open conversations with their teen about sex.

Discussion about sex are one of the most difficult subjects for many parents to approach, yet studies show kids who feel they can speak with their parents about sex – because their mom and dad talk openly and listen carefully to them – are less likely to engage in high-risk behavior.

“For most teens, intelligence, sensibility, and religion are not the factors influencing their decisions on sex,” said, Lang. “In this seminar we’ll give parents straight talk about teens and sex to prepare them for one of the most important choices their child will make.”

With experience as parents and sexual health educators, Amy Lang and Margit Crane will help parents learn why teens have sex, why it is important to start and maintain an open conversation, and provide tips, tools, and effective ways to communicate about sexuality, waiting, and saying no.

This event is open to parents with children of any age. For more information please contact Margit Crane (206-326-8446), Margit@TheGiftedTeenCoach.com or Amy Lang (206-661-2245), amy@birdsandbeesandkids.com
