Laurel Hill is our nation's second rural garden cemetery, and who could be more welcome visitors to a garden than birds? Participants will walk through the beautiful park-like landscape and along the Schuylkill River and try to identify as many birds as possible of those they see or hear. Near the end of the migration season there may still be some temporary visitors as well as the permanent residents and those who are here for the whole summer. Share your knowledge or just enjoy nature all around you in the midst of the city. Bring binoculars. Bird book, notebook and pen are optional.
